Guided By Voices Release New LP

On New Year’s Day, GBV will release Let’s Go Eat the Factory. This is their first LP since they reunited last year to play an anniversary concert for Matador Records, who released some of the band’s best material, including 1995′s Alien Lanes. The event marked GbV’s first appearance since they officially called it quits following 2004′s Half Smiles Of The Decomposed, and was a reunion of the “classic” lineup that was responsible for the band’s best work in the period of 1993-1996. Later this year they appeared in last summer’s Pitchfork Festival.
