Isidore Steams New LP in Full (The Church Band/Remy Zero)

2012 February 24

As we have told the story a few times, we’ll repeat it because its a good one:  Isidore composed of Jeffery Cain and Steve Kilbey formed in 2004 when lead singer Steve Kilbey of Australia’s The Church and guitarist Jeffrey Cain from Alabama’s alt-rock outfit Remy Zero formed – Isidore. Then, they recorded their debut while the Steve was Down Under and Jeffrey in L.A.  Now many years down the road,  they have again united for their sophomore effort, Life Somewhere Else.  In the past few months, they revealed t “Reappearance, then came “The Song of The City”, and just this week “You Will Remain”,  Now you can hear the entire album and grab it today over at Amazon:  Life Somewhere Else (order link)

Young Griffo Live On Balcony Tv Brisbane

2012 February 24
by From Go To Whoa

Watch local Brisbane, Australia’s Young Griffo perform their title track to their new EP, ‘Tiny Islands’ for Balcony TV above. You can name your price (free) on their EP over on FB.

Young Griffo are an eclectic original rock band. Reviews have defined the band as “interesting mix of alternative rock and post punk sounds” with particular reference to a “roaring live” show. It is modern rock music written with a clear love of rock like Queens of Stone Age and Biffy Clyro, blended with the introspection of Death Cab For Cutie and a lyrical element that is intangibly and bitterly Australian. That said, Young Griffo gleefully ignores the predictable pastiche of popular indie music and openly embraces the fire and noise of fuzzed out riffs and pounding rock beats.
