SXSW The Best Performances Yet

2010 March 29

I know we have been getting SXSW overload lately on the blogs but there are some really good videos now becoming available as some of the better quality videotaping has begun to surface on the net.  We’ve been patiently waiting for some of these to surface.

Radio K at SXSW – A Sunny Day in Glasgow – “So Bloody, So Tight”

Holy Fuck – Latin America

We recently posted on the new single, “Latin America’, from their upcoming album coming out in May. Here’s the song performed live at Radio K in Austin during the festival last week.

Frightened Rabbit – “Swim Until You Can’t See Land”

I know we’ve heard this one a million times since it came out but this one is a one off recording… the best in our humble opinion of this track this band, live on stage.

Radio K at SXSW: Shearwater – “Meridian”

This one marked Radio K’s first in-studio of  SXSW 2010 broadcast. Fittingly from Austin’s own Shearwater. Their new album, “The Golden Archipelago,” has been showcased a few times here on FGTW but we have yet to post on this brilliant new song, “Meridian.” Looking forward to seeing them on tour with Wye Oak soon.

Explode Into Colors SXSW 2010

Love the deep base guitar riffs in this song from Portland based “Explode Into Colors” who have been making quite the explosion here locally and around the blogosphere.

Lissie – Why You Running

We can’t say enough about this rising young lady. We have loved her since we first heard her on Baebelgum. This SXSW performance of “Why You Running” captures the essence of the magic and power in this woman’s voice. One of our top 3 videos so far out of Austin.

Miike Snow @ SXSW

Miike Snow performing “Amimal” nothing could be more intoxicating!

SXSW ’10: Neon Indian performs 7000 (reprise) at the Terrorbird/Force Field Party

These guys are really a hot band on stage…did you all see Alan Palamo’s performance on Jimmy Fallon this month? Whoa!!!

Neon Indian – Terminally Chill
