Get a first listen of the highly anticipated album from the popular indie folk band, Blitzen Trapper today on NPR. The new album, Destroyer of the Void, will be released on June 8 through Sub Pop. Destroyer of the Void is a followup to their highly acclaimed Furr album which made many of the top 10 indie blog lists for best albums last year. According to the band, this new album is  an expansion of their sound of Furr, and has influences from, among others, The Beatles and early Queen while still holding firm to the unique sound of  Blitzen Trapper.

We were especially excited to see another Portland artist, the amazing and talented folk artist, Alela Diane, on the list of contributors in a duet with Eric Earley for the track “The Tree”.
